Catenary inspection and maintenance
The Plasser & Theurer MTW 100 is a multi-purpose machine for catenary construction and maintenance. It has a crane for lifting pylons and a hoist equipped with a working platform. The diesel-powered vehicle has a pantograph, which can be used in the installation and measuring of the contact wire. The height and stagger of the wire can be determined using the pantograph’s measuring devices, enabling it to be positioned correctly.
