Construction is one of our core activities and construction management one of our core competences. We have unrivalled expertise in railway construction in Finland and our skills are also used in international projects and in Finnish civil engineering projects in non-rail sectors.

Our key strength is the ability to systematically manage large, complex contracts involving many technical domains without causing any unnecessary disruption to train services running on the same tracks.
We make use of the latest equipment and also sell equipment capacity for projects carried out on the international market.

The key factor in our work planning and execution is our professional, competent and motivated staff and first-rate partners.

As rail safety is paramount and traffic disruptions must be kept to a minimum, a large proportion of the work is carried out at night. With experience amassed over the years, we know how to share the tracks with train services.

Even though VR Track Oy is a specialized construction company, its expert workforce of 2 300 also puts it among the largest building firms in Finland.

Customers

The Finnish Rail Administration, municipalities and industrial firms are our biggest construction customers. Each year VR Track Oy is a partner in about 200 contracts.
