Handy installations with a railroad crane

The railroad crane is a versatile piece of machinery for lifting and installation duties on rail work sites. The crane moves on its own propulsion in the work site area, and long-distance transfers are handled by a locomotive.

Railroad cranes can work under a contact wire, but the wire must be earthed for safety reasons.

Typical work sites for the railroad crane include bridge and turnout structures, pylon and lighting system foundations, portal installations and rail elements.
